Foods that can help fight or prevent Coronavirus, cold and flu.
In this season where there is fear around the world about the Coronavirus, the Flu, and other Flu-like illnesses. The best thing for people to do is to be calm and follow the steps given by health agencies such as the CDC, and WHO. To keep safe from these illnesses and to stop the spread of them. It’s highly recommended that people always wash their hands for 20 seconds or use sanitizers before touching their mouth, eyes, ears, and /or nose.
While it is extremely important to wash our hands, there are other steps to take to prevent any type of viral infection or help to fight it if you have been infected. Whether you are infected or not, drink lots of fluid (water or fluids with electrolytes) to keep yourself hydrated and rest. Aim for that recommended 8 hours of sleep.
Realistically, there is rarely any medication to treat viral infections. The medications that are available help to treat symptoms such as headaches, body aches, inflammation, etc. while your immune system fights the virus. Foods are always if not the best, an alternative to help prevent or fight against sicknesses and diseases. Below are a group of herbs and spices that can help to either fight or prevent cold virus and many viruses, such as the Coronavirus or Flu virus. - Honey has anti-viral, anti-bacterial and anti-fungal properties. Have tea or water with some honey. (Note: Do not feed a child that is under 1-year-old honey, it can cause them to be very sick. Honey should be given to children who are 1 year and up). The honey listed below is the raw honey. It is so awesome with teas!
- Peppermint is another herb that has anti-viral properties. A suggestion is to drink peppermint tea with some honey.
- Ginger is listed to also have some anti-viral properties. A suggestion is to drink ginger tea with some honey.

Coronavirus affects breathing: How to improve your breathing using essential oils!
Coronavirus affects your respiratory system. This means that it affects your breathing.
Eucalyptus and peppermint essential oil have been known to help to improve breathing and helps with other sinus infections. Using a vaporizer or an oil diffuser can help to diffuse the oil around you which can help improve your breathing and sinus. Other essential oils to look into are Peppermint oil, oregano oil or even ginger oil.
I used eucalyptus and peppermint oil for my family and I when we had a cold as it was hard for us to breathe and sleep. We decided to mix eucalyptus oil and peppermint oil in the vaporizer/diffuser. In minutes we were all able to sleep well and, most importantly breath! I recommend them, it worked for us. Check the link below!
There are more people who have survived the Coronavirus than have died. Those who died were known to have other underlying health issues. Stay calm, wash your hand, and rest. Stay hydrated and eat plenty of foods fused with anti-viral and anti-bacterial properties. Stay safe!
