What is Peri Peri?
Peri Peri (also called Piri Piri or Pili Pili) means “pepper pepper” in Swahili and Portuguese. It refers to the African Bird’s Eye Chili, native to Mozambique and Angola, which gives the dish its signature heat.
The Portuguese introduced the pepper into marinades, and from there, a fusion of African and European spices created the beloved Peri Peri Chicken we enjoy today.

Check internal temperature with a food thermometer to make sure the temperature of the chicken is 165-degree Fahrenheit, checking the thickest part of the chicken
