Afromeals LLC Cooking Class Terms and Conditions

Welcome to our cooking class! We are happy to have you and we look forward to cooking with you. To ensure a smooth and enjoyable experience for everyone, please read and agree to the following terms and conditions:

 Introduction: By signing up and/or making a payment for our cooking class, you agree to these Terms and Conditions, which constitute a legally binding contract. These terms apply to all activities in which the booking participant and/or guardian engages during the applicable activities. Please read these Terms and Conditions carefully before signing up and making your payment.

Cancellation and Refund Policy:

  • If you wish to cancel your reservation, please notify us by email at afromeals@gmail.com or info@afromeals.com at least 7 days prior to the event date. This is the only way we will issue a refund.
  • To transfer your reservation to someone else, please notify us by email at least 7 days in advance.
  • To move your reservation to another date, please email us at least 7 days before the event date. We will not honor requests made after this period and will not issue any refunds.

 Private Events:

  • For cancellations or changes to the number of attendees, please notify us by email at least 7 days before the event date.
  • We will issue a refund for a reduced number of attendees only if you notify us at least 7 days before the event.
  • We do not honor changes made within 7 days of the event and cannot provide refunds for late modifications.
  • Once we confirm the date and time of your cooking class, you must pay a deposit to secure your spot. 
  • You must pay the remaining balance no later than 7 days before the event.

 Release of Liability: By signing up and making payment for our classes, you release Afromeals LLC and its employees, agents, volunteers, representatives, members, sponsors/promoters, and affiliates from any liabilities that may occur for you/your party/minor while participating in Afromeals LLC activities.

 Liability and Safety:

Afromeals LLC aims to provide a safe and enjoyable experience. However, culinary activities have inherent risks that may result in injury or illness. Participants must follow all safety instructions the instructor provides. They use sharp or hot equipment at their own risk. Afromeals LLC does not accept liability for any injuries that occur during our cooking classes.

  • By participating, you acknowledge these risks and agree that Afromeals LLC, its employees, agents, volunteers, representatives, members, sponsors, and affiliates are not liable for any injuries, illnesses, or damages incurred during participation.
  • Children, Teenagers, and Young Adults: Parents/guardians/staff who allow minors to participate in Afromeals cooking classes agree that:
    • They are responsible for ensuring their child/teen/young adult is mature enough to safely participate in a cooking environment.
    • They assume full liability for any damages, injuries, or incidents caused by or occurring to the minor during the class or event.
    • Minors are expected to behave appropriately, follow instructions from Afromeals instructors, chefs, volunteers, and staff, and respect the rules of the kitchen or event space.
    • Afromeals LLC is not liable for any incident, injury, or damage involving minors.
  • If you have food allergies, you must notify us via email at least 7 days prior to the class. While we will make reasonable efforts to accommodate, Afromeals cannot guarantee an allergen-free environment.
  • Afromeals is not liable for any exposure to Covid-19 during participation. We follow safety protocols; however, participation is at your own risk. Vaccinated individuals are not required to wear masks.
  • Participants are responsible for informing us of any food allergies or dietary restriction either at the time of registration or at least one week prior to the class by emailing afromeals@gmail.com or info@afromeals.com so we can accommodate them.

COVID-19 Policy:

  • Afromeals LLC is not liable for any exposure to COVID-19 or any other infectious diseases during our activities. We follow and practice COVID-19 protocols along with other health protocols to ensure safety.

 Personal Property:

  • We are not responsible for any loss or damage to personal belongings during the class.

Photography and Media Release:

  • Afromeals LLC reserves the right to take photographs and video recordings during any of our activities for promotional or commercial purposes without remuneration to the participant(s).
  • By participating, you grant Afromeals all rights, title, and interest in any media that includes your likeness for promotional and commercial use.
  • If you prefer that we don’t use your photographs or videos for commercial purposes due to privacy or safety concerns, please email us at afromeals@gmail.com or info@afromeals.com before the class, and we will inform the instructor.

Code of Conduct

  • Behavior: Participants must behave respectfully toward the instructor and other attendees. If anyone displays disruptive or inappropriate behavior, we may remove them from the class without offering a refund.

Intellectual Property

  • Recipes and Materials: We provide all recipes, and materials during the class for personal use only. Do not reproduce or distribute them without our permission.

 Amendments

  • Changes to Terms: We reserve the right to amend these terms and conditions at any time. Participants will be notified of any significant changes.
