SUMMARY:Online Kids Summer Camp-A Destination Cooking Class
DESCRIPTION:End summer break with a bang by giving an exciting gift to your kids. Give them something to talk about when school resume with our Destination online summer camp cooking class. Each Day they learn how to cook a meal or two from a different country/culture from the comfort of their home. Your child\, pre-teen or teen will explore the world through their taste buds. We have a delicious\, and fun hand-on cooking class that transports your child to a different destination each day. These classes teach children not only how to cook but exposes them to culture. They learn how to make different cultural foods\, and use different ingredients\, spices\, etc. around the world while learning about the culture of the food that they are cooking. Children would learn how to incorporate spices such as ginger\, garlic\, cumin\, curry\, etc. in their cooking. Note: None of these meals are made to be spicy (no heat or hot peppers). It is kids and adult friendly for those who do not like spicy foods. \nDetails \n\nA five day online summer camp (ages 7-16)\nParents can assist kids (Find Kids safe cooking tools (knives) on Amazon)\nMonday – Friday 12pm – 1:30pm.\nOnline (Zoom Link): Two Cameras one facing the Chef the other facing the food being prepared.\nKids can interact and ask questions with Chef and cook in the comforts of their home\nClasses taught by our experience and energetic Executive Chef Gabi who also works with the Food Network. She has taught several classes including kids classes both online and on-site.\nWe send you the recipes to shop for before the week of camp. Optional  (Pick up only hard to find ingredients from our two locations (Dayton and Cincinnati). If you are not in the Cincy-Dayton location we will send you keywords to search for ingredients in your area and links to get ingredients from online.\n\nDay 1 Ingredients (Plantain\, Curry\, Harissa\, bouillon powder\, Fried rice seasoning)\nDay 2 Ingredients (Callaloo\, Jerk seasoning\, Allspice)\nDay 3 Ingredients (Chicken Tikka Spices)\nDay 4 & 5 Ingredients (Curry\, Cumin and Afromeals Meat seasoning)\n\n\n\nSessions Includes \n\nKnife skills\nFood and Kitchen Safety\nLearn Misen plus (Food prepping skills)\nLearning different cooking styles.\n\nDay 1: Tour of Africa \nBrief description: In this class\, A tour of Africa cooking class is where we teach children that Africa is a continent (not a country) with different regions. Children will tour the different regions of Africa\, cooking and enjoying delicious meals from the different regions in Africa. We take them to the North\, South\, East and Western parts of Africa through their taste buds. We educate them on differences and similarities. \nMenu \n\nSouth African Chakalaka (warm salad) and Sweet Plantain (not spicy)\nNorth African Chicken Skewer (not spicy)\nWest African (Nigerian) Fried rice (not spicy)\n\nDay  2: Jamaican Experience \nBrief description: In this class\, Jamaican experience\, children get to learn the history of Jamaica. While making their delicious meals\, they learn about the African and European influences found in Jamaican dishes. \nMenu \n\nCallaloo (Jamaican spinach)  (not spicy)\nBaked Jerk chicken and Rasta Pasta (not spicy)\n\nDay 3: Flavor of Asia \nBrief description: During this class children will enjoy the flavors of South and East Asia. Learn about the bold spices (curry\, cumin) and other umami flavor found in these delicious meals. Children will learn difference and similarities between these two regions. \nMenu \n\nSimple Ramen\nChicken Tikka\n\nDay 4: Experience America (North & South) with a touch of Spanish influence \nBrief description: During this class children will understand the flavors of America.
